Personality

Jun is the studious and serious voice of reason of the unit High×Joker. His passions lie in writing music, as well as playing the piano, though he plays the keyboard to fit High×Joker's pop-rock image. He is considered a piano prodigy and very talented in his dealings. He tends to take the logical approach to things and can be described as strict, with a 'no-nonsense' personality. He often has to force his fellow unit members, especially Shiki Iseya and Haruna Wakazato, to study and quit fooling around in order for them to remain idols. Jun prides himself in working hard and doing his best until success is reached, but is still attempting to break out of his shell and identify his own appeals. He gets embarrassed easily and has an even shorter temper than usual when this happens. Natsuki often mentions that Jun has changed greatly as a person since becoming an idol and expresses that he likes this 'new Jun' as well. This 'new Jun' refers to Jun's more open, daring personality that he had gained through joining the club. He is more open to trying new things and taking risks; he also no longer sees becoming an idol as a burden and has learned to enjoy and appreciate the experience.

Before becoming an idol, he always was very hesistant in trying new activities, being quick to dismiss things deemed as bothersome to him. However, when approached by Hayato Akiyama in joining the Light Music Club (and later becoming an idol), he decided to try something new for once and join for the sake his friend, Natsuki Sakaki. He and Natsuki are childhood friends that are often seen together. He sees Natsuki as someone he's had to drag along behind him due to Natsuki having trouble interacting with others aside from Jun. He wishes to see Natsuki break out of his shell and succeed as an idol. Jun struggles with understanding how to have a normal high school experience, which is often forced upon him by Shiki. Jun and Shiki have extremely clashing personalities and is usually one to shoot down Shiki's outlandish ideas, but is often sucked into them anyway. Jun is hinted to have a bad relationship with his father when he snaps at Natsuki for bringing him up in a conversation.
