This is the official costume listing for the Project-iM@S wiki. It contains all of the costumes that we have worked on, and the ones that we are working on completing.

Official Costume Listing

The tables below contain all of the costumes currently found in THE iDOLM@STER games series.

  • Std = The costume is available right out of the box. (That is, it comes standard.)
  • DLC = The costume is available as downloadable content.
  • np = The costume exists in the game, but is not playable.
  • HS, FN, or GT = The costume is available in "Honey Sound", "Funky Note", or "Groovy Tune" respectively. It also appears in Shiny TV as DLC.
  • STV = The costume is available only in Shiny TV (not SHINY FESTA) as DLC.

CUTE & GIRLY

Costumes in the CUTE & GIRLY category debuted in the original release of THE iDOLM@STER, alongside COOL & SEXY costumes and COSMIC & FUNNY costumes. They have since appeared in every First Vision game, as well as the first Second Vision game: Dearly Stars. These costumes typically boost an idols' vocal stat. The default costume for this category is normally the Snow Strawberry costume. There are currently 25 total versions of the CUTE & GIRLY costume.

COOL & SEXY

Costumes in the COOL & SEXY category debuted in the original release of THE iDOLM@STER, alongside CUTE & GIRLY costumes and COSMIC & FUNNY costumes. They have since appeared in every First Vision game, as well as the first Second Vision game: Dearly Stars. These costumes typically boost an idols' dance stat. The default costume for this category is normally the Green Forest costume. There are currently 25 total versions of the COOL & SEXY costume.

COSMIC & FUNNY

Costumes in the COSMIC & FUNNY category debuted in the original release of THE iDOLM@STER, alongside CUTE & GIRLY costumes and COOL & SEXY costumes. They have since appeared in every First Vision game, as well as the first Second Vision game: Dearly Stars. These costumes typically boost an idols' visual stat. The default costume for this category is normally the Pink Apollo costume. There are currently 23 total versions of the COSMIC & FUNNY costume.

EXTEND

Costumes in the EXTEND category appeared as early as the original release of THE iDOLM@STER, but were completely unplayable onstage. The Xbox 360 port of the game created this category for costumes that were not "re-skins" like the other categories. They have since appeared in every THE iDOLM@STER game and do not consistently boost an idols' stats. The default costume for this category is technically the Training Wear costume. There are currently 128 total costumes within the EXTEND category.

It should be noted that this category shares costumes with the "SPECIAL" category from THE iDOLM@STER: LIVE in SLOT!, and that while they appear in Dearly Stars they are not usable onstage.

T-SHIRT

Costumes in the T-SHIRT category appeared only in THE iDOLM@STER Dearly Stars to replace the EXTEND costume. They are customizable by players. Ai Hidaka, Eri Mizutani and Ryo Akizuki can wear several different T-Shirt styles with 32 x 32 boxes on the front. In these boxes, players can use 14 colors to draw whatever they want. If no picture is displayed, the box will be replaced with the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi symbol. The created designs will not be displayed in Wi-Fi play, however. They have not appeared in any game since their debut. There are currently 12 total versions of the T-SHIRT costume.

FLORAL

Costumes in the FLORAL category debuted with the release of THE iDOLM@STER 2, alongside LUXURY costumes and STARRY costumes. This category replaced the previously used CUTE & GIRLY category. They have since appeared in every Second Vision game, barring Dearly Stars and spin off titles. These costumes typically boost an idols' vocal stat. The default costume for this category was normally the Vital Sunflower costume. There are currently 33 total versions of the FLORAL costume.

LUXURY

Costumes in the LUXURY category debuted with the release of THE iDOLM@STER 2, alongside FLORAL costumes and STARRY costumes. This category replaced the previously used COOL & SEXY category. They have since appeared in every Second Vision game, barring Dearly Stars and spin off titles. These costumes typically boost an idols' dance stat. The default costume for this category was normally the Pink Diamond 765 costume. There are currently 33 total versions of the LUXURY costume.

STARRY

Costumes in the STARRY category debuted with the release of THE iDOLM@STER 2, alongside LUXURY costumes and FLORAL costumes. This category replaced the previously used COSMIC & FUNNY category. They have since appeared in every Second Vision game, barring Dearly Stars and spin off titles. These costumes typically boost an idols' visual stat. The default costume for this category was normally the Charming Venus costume. There are currently 32 total versions of the STARRY costume.

Currently Uncategorized Costumes

Costumes in this list are currently missing an official category. Jupiter's costumes from THE iDOLM@STER 2 do not officially fall into any of the above categories. Some costumes appeared in Gravure For You! or the SHINY series, and have not been officially categorized or appeared outside of their debut media.
