IM@S ALLSTARS++ was a grouping for the idols who worked for 765 Production and the members of Project Fairy during the SP games.

History

While 765 Production and 961 Production were created to be rival agencies, many of their idols were still on generally favorable terms. In some cases, the idols from 765 and 961 would even sing together for performances. The song L・O・B・M was performed by every idol in 765 Production and 961 Production's Project Fairy, and the performances would be later combined on THE IDOLM@STER BEST OF 765+876=!! VOL.03 to allow the group to perform together as IM@S ALLSTARS++.

This unit would later be expanded upon by the introduction of 876 Production's idols Ai Hidaka, Eri Mizutani, and Ryo Akizuki as well as the return of Kotori Otonashi. The 17 performers would undergo the group name of IM@S ALLSTARS1641. When the games were rebooted in Second Vision, Miki Hoshii, Hibiki Ganaha, and Takane Shijou joined 765 Production to form a group known as 765PRO ALLSTARS.

In Adaptations

  • THE iDOLM@STER Break! featured this unit in its later chapters when Kuroi fires the Project Fairy members. It is later reformed as 765PRO ALLSTARS.
  • The Puchimasu! manga originally debuted before THE iDOLM@STER 2 and maintains the usage of "First Vision" designs, suggesting that this unit is currently in existence.

Trivia

  • This unit is the first cross agency unit in THE iDOLM@STER franchise. It was also the only collaboration that 765 Production had done with 961 Production until the events of THE iDOLM@STER ONE FOR ALL.
  • It is possible that this unit was originally planned to be created without Miki Hoshii. In promotional images for the arcade game, Hibiki and Takane appear as produceable 765 Production members while Miki Hoshii was never put in development. In the end, both Hibiki and Takane were scrapped from appearing in the game and were replaced by Miki in the Xbox 360 release.
