"Huh, m-me as an i-idol!? Nonono, that's impossible, deeeeefinitely impossible! I'm clumsy, gullible, and completely uncute... E-Eeeeeh, w-w-w-what should I do~?!"
Karin is a Shinto shrine priestess who becomes an idol to help her family's temple. She lived and worked in shrines and temples her entire life before becoming an idol. Karin was born and raised as a miko. All her idol costumes incorporate something Shinto related. She was also born on New Year’s Day in Nara, which has special meaning to religious Japanese.
In the tie in Cinderella Girls Theater skits, Karin is depicted as being extremely clumsy and struggles to keep her clothes on. She constantly trips and runs into things, and seems to be very unlucky and not very coordinated to the point where it's said she's tripped on everything around the shrine at least once. Her dream idol job is that of a fantasy miko, and she enjoys flying kites on New Year’s.
