Lyrics

Japanese/Kanji Lyrics Romanized Lyrics Translated Lyrics

はいさい!!
大好きな沖縄
想い出を作ろう
自分だけに下さい
ふたり天と海の島へ

Haisai!!
Daisuki na Okinawa
Omoide o tsukurou
Jibun dake ni kudasai
Futari ten to umi no shima e

Haisai!!
I love Okinawa!
Let's make memories
and please make them your own
Let us go to the island of the sky and seas!

南の楽園
沖縄へおいでよおいでよ
めんそーれ
さあそれー
君に言ってるんだぞ
行きたい場所に
どこでも連れていってあげる
海も
山も
なんくるないさー

Minami no rakuen
Okinawa e oideyo oideyo
Mensoore
Saasoree
Kimi ni itterun dazo
Ikitai basho ni
Dokodemo tsurete itte ageru
Umi mo
Yama mo
Nankurunaisaa

Okinawa is a southern paradise
That you must come, come to!
Mensoore!
Saasoree!
That's how we greet to you
I'll take you anywhere
To where you want to go
Like the seas
and the mountains, too
Nankurunaisa~!

熱い視線の日射し
ひとり占めしたいから
来てくれるの待ってるね♪

Atsui shisen no hizashi
Hitorijime shitai kara
Kite kureru no matteru ne

The hot gazing sunlight
Because we want you all to ourselves
we'll wait for you to come♪

はいさい!!
恋するパラダイス
傍にいるだけで
ハイビスカスみたく
もっともっと咲き誇れ
はいさい!!
大好きな沖縄
想い出を作ろう
自分だけに下さい
ふたり天と海の島へ

Haisai!!
Koisuru PARADAISU
Soba ni iru dake de
HAIBISUKASU mitaku
Motto motto sakihokore
Haisai!!
Daisuki na Okinawa
Omoide o tsukurou
Jibun dake ni kudasai
Futari ten to umi no shima e

Haisai!!
Just by being close in this paradise
You'll fall in love
Bloom more and more,
like a hibiscus
Haisai!!
I love Okinawa!
Let's make memories
and please make them your own
Let us go to the island of the sky and seas!

君が笑うと
それだけで嬉しくなるんだぞ
めんそーれ
はいそれー
今日は楽しんじゃおう
珍しい花や
生き物とか教えてあげる
アレも
コレも
家族なもんさ

Kimi ga warau to
Sore dake de ureshiku narun dazo
Mensoore
Haisoree
Kyou wa tanoshin jaou
Mezurashii hana ya
Ikimono toka oshiete ageru
Are mo
Kore mo
Kazokunamonsa

You smile,
and just that makes me happy
Mensoore!
Haisoree!
Today is an enjoyable day
The rare flowers
and the animals will teach you
This
and that
Kazokunamonsa!

ふたつでひとつのシーサー
なんか羨ましいぞ
どうか見守っていてね

Futatsu de hitotsu no SHIISAA
Nanka urayamashii zo
Douka mimamotte ite ne

A single pair of shiisaas
I'm kind of jealous
Please look over me

はいたい!!
夢見るアイランド
ふたりだけの浪漫
さとうきびの様に
ずっとずっと甘くなれ
はいたい!!
大好きな沖縄
好きになれたかな?
また一緒に行こう
眩しい天と海の島へ

Haitai!!
Yumemiru AIRANDO
Futari dake no rouman
Satoukibi no you ni
Zutto zutto amakunare
Haitai!!
Daisuki na Okinawa
Suki ni nareta kana?
Mata issho ni ikou
Mabushii ten to umi no shima e

Haitai!!
Dreaming island
Our very own romance
Like sugarcane,
it'll always, always be sweet
Haitai!!
I love Okinawa!
Have you fallen in love?
Let's go again together
to the dazzling island of the sky and seas

ねえ1年中暖かいのは・・・
温もりある島の心
忘れない

Nee ichinenchuu attakai no wa...
Nukumori aru shima no kokoro
Wasurenai

Hey, in this year, you've gotten kinder...
The heart of the island has warmth
I won't forget

はいさい!!
恋するパラダイス
傍にいるだけで
ハイビスカスみたく
もっともっと咲き誇れ
はいさい!!
大好きな沖縄
想い出を作ろう
自分だけに下さい
ふたり天と海の島へ

Haisai!!
Koisuru PARADAISU
Soba ni iru dake de
HAIBISUKASU mitaku
Motto motto sakihokore
Haisai!!
Daisuki na Okinawa
Omoide o tsukurou
Jibun dake ni kudasai
Futari ten to umi no shima e

Haisai!!
Just by being close in this paradise
You'll fall in love
Bloom more and more,
like a hibiscus

Trivia

This song contains a couple of Okinawan phrases. Here are the list of them:

  • はいさい (Haisai): Hello (M)
  • めんそーれ (Mensoore): Welcome
  • さあそれー (Saasoree):
  • なんくるないさ (Nankurunaisa): It'll be alright
  • はいそれー (Haisoree):
  • 家族なもんさ (Kazokunamonsa):
  • はいたい (Haitai): Hello (F)

Though this song uses Japanese spelling for the Okinawan phrases (Okinawan Katakana characters correspond to different pronunciations)[1], this may be to the fact that many people in Japan consider Okinawan to be a dialect of the Japanese language (and is officially recognized as such) rather than it's own language. [2] Okinawan is largely incomprehensible to Japanese speakers and also includes many local dialects.
